Tasks of a doctor's assistant:
The doctor's assistant makes appointments for consulting hours, home visits and consultations by phone.
When making an appointment, she asks several questions concerning the complaint that you would like to talk to the GP. She is trained in accordance with the guidelines of the NHG standard. With these questions, she can determine the urgency of your complaint and decide whether you may need to come in earlier or that you may be helped with self-care advice.
Furthermore, she can estimate whether the consultation may require more time than the regular 10 minutes.
If you cannot or don’t want to indicate what you are coming for, please indicate whether 10 minutes are sufficient. You can ask for a double consultation.
If necessary, the doctor may advise to continue the consultation at a different time.
In the afternoon, the assistants have their own consultation hours. In principle, they work by appointment and we will ask you to report to the counter when you come in.

Silvia Bocxe is working as a practice assistant in this practice since 2013. After having worked in another practice for many years, she made the move to this team. In addition to telephone contacts, she is pleased to also perform medical technical procedures. Silvia is the mother of twins. She works on monday, tuesday and thursday.
Simone Reedekker is a practice assistant and works on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday morning since November 2014. Before joining our team, she worked for a GP practice in Amsterdam. This job combines well with the care of her family, she works here with pleasure. She is the mother of 1 son.
Heleen Janssen started here as a trainee in March 2016 and has been working here as a practical assistant . Her working days are: Monday till Thursday and during the evening consultation hours.
Rosanna van der Maal
Rosanna van der Maal has been a doctor's assistant since August 2011. In the intervening years, she has gained a lot of experience at a practice in Amsterdam. What particularly appeals to her in the profession of doctor's assistant are the patient contacts and the medical procedures. Rosanna comes to work on Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday and Friday.
